Bike Fitting

Here I will try to provide as much usefull information as I can on how to fit a bike to a rider.  I warn you, the more you look into this the more answers you can find, but I do think there are some good and fairly simple steps to take.  The first area to address will be how to pick the right size frame.  Then we can address what can be done to make a bike with the right frame size fit in other dimensions.  And finally I expect to have a lot of information on special topics relating to tall and heavier riders.

So please be patient as I work on this section and add articles and links to useful info...Rusty

Selecting the Right Frame Size

First you need to know your bike-specific inseam measurement.  Note: this is not the length of your pants leg.  This measurement is from the ground to the pubic bone.  Here is a useful website showing how to take this measurement.  I suggest writing it down both metric (I am 87.6cm, or 34.5").

Converting inches to centimeters and vice versa.
